Mama Angry Mama Happy (Dec 2013)
Mr Galen will reply cheekily "Mama Happy, Mama Happy!", bringing a reluctant grin to Mummy who had been genuinely angry with him for his bad behaviour.
Mr Galen @ 26 mths (Apr 2014)
At 26 mths of age, surprising vocabulary, sentence construction and grammar from Mr Galen:
when looking through a book containing different construction vehicles, he said "construction site".
"your toothbrush is ALSO green".
when looking some picture book, he said "I PREFER this".
Mummy was trying to explain the difference between Galen's books and the library books in the car - he pointed to his books and commented "This is NOT other people's book". Astonishing paraphrase.
"Papa's car is going out MULTI STOREY CARPARK" every time the Prius exits from the carpark.
He proudly proclaimed "I sit in yellow aeroplane before" (referring to the Scoot aeroplane for the trip to Perth Australia in Mar 2014).
He is able to name the following brands of cars by sight: "HONDA, NISSAN, KIA, TOYOTA, AUDI, HYUNDAI".
What is Papa's car? - "TOYOTA PRIUS"!
When we wanted to bring him to swim, he commented "I am going McDonalds!". He is able to recognise the icons.
Icons/signages that he can recognise: Ikea, Courts, McDonalds, Toilet sign at airport, Train sign, Aeroplane Take off sign and Landing sign.
Competitive streak - When playing with other kids at the playground (especially the slide), he will climb up the slide quickly and exclaim to the other kid "I Win! I Faster!"....

Following a certain order - his order (Apr 2014)
Mr Galen has a fixed notion how things should be like:-
1) When parking his cars, all must reverse in. Cannot some head-in and some reverse-in. He will get you to change to all reverse in.
2) He will insist on using the small circular coasters for his cups, and refuse to use the big square coasters.
3) When picking him up from school, he insists that the back of the chair must be against a certain wall, and if the chair is not in position, he will move the chair and make sure that it is there before he sits on it to wear his shoes. "Put like that!"
4) When he washes his hands in the bathroom, the back of the pink chair must be against the door. When Ah Ma did not know this procedure, he will ask her to "Put like that!".
5) After bathing, he will pack up the containers (for collecting the water to bathe him), and order Mummy to "Put below! (ledge) I don't want put on top (ledge)!".

Bathing Quirks of Mr Galen (Apr 2014)
When taking his shower at New House, Mr Galen insists on bringing his black car (not his favourite yellow Lamborghini) in for the wash. He probably deems it as dirty and requiring a car wash.
When taking his shower at Ah Nei's house, he will insist on bringing the brown toy mushroom into the bath with him. It must be the mushroom only, and nothing else.
Lord of the Ring (Feb-Mar 2014)
Mr Galen is the Lord of Mummy's Ring, requiring to stroke and fondle the ring every night before going to sleep. He will only hold the hand which has the ring, and it must be Mummy's ring, not Daddy's...
He has pre-assigned which of Mummy's hands is to be used for holding Didi, and which is to hold him (naturally, the hand with the ring!).
Car Seat Discipline
Back in the old days, Mr Galen would refuse to sit in his car seat. He would always struggle and refused to be buckled down.
Mummy tricked him to buckle up by compromising to keep his seatbelt loose - he felt that he kinda won the battle by having the seatbelt loose than tight, and so he was contented with the arrangement.
Over time, Mummy tightened the seatbelt, and he got accustomed to the having the seatbelt on, and being strapped into the carseat.
Currently (@ 26 mths), he voluntarily jumps into the car seat, and ask Mummy to quickly buckle him up, and will even remind Mummy to buckle him up when Daddy starts to drive the car off. "Quick quick, buckle!"
Papa Mama Kang (lost the date for this..)
Vaguely remember it was around 18 mths (?) of age, when Mr Galen achieved self-realisation of himself, and referred to himself as "Kang!".
He will point to Daddy, Mummy then himself, and proudly say, "Papa, Mama, Kang!"
He was also trying to make the "Good" sign with his hand, but was unsuccessful. Instead, he could only manage to point his 2nd finger out - "Bang!" we used to laugh at him :p
Also refer to the Peanut video, where "How you show 'Good'? and 'Bang!' were referenced).

Who is going to clean up the mess??
02 Feb 2014 CNY Day 3, @ Punggol New house
It was lunch time, and Mummy pointed to the mess of rice on the floor, and exclaimed: "Look at that mess on the floor! Who is going to clean it up?"
Mr Galen replied matter of factly, "Papa!" :O

Give that boy a Milo (sometime in Dec 2013)
It was a hot afternoon, and we had just finished a walk at MacRitchie Reservoir.
We were walking back to the cafe beside the carpark, and talking about getting a drink from the cafe -a cold one. At this point, Mr Galen interrupted, and said "Milo!" loudly, as if he was into the conversation the whole while :p

Train Ride Back from Shi Fen to Taipei (sometime in Aug 2013)
When we were taking the local train back from Shi Fen to Taipei during our Taipei trip in Aug 2013, Mr Galen was playing a game with Mummy (putting his hands into a bag, and Mummy will close the bag, and he will ask Mummy to open the bag), and he said "Open and close!".
An Ang Moh lady tourist beside him exclaimed "oohh.. he knows English!" to her friend.
Daddy smiled smugly from the corner... :)
